Information for incoming students
Documents needed before arrival to the BUT
Before arriving to the University you should settle following documents:
APPLICATION FORM
Fill in the document in block letters and send it to the foreign department of the host faculty or to the Mobility Programme Department of BUT. Do not forget to include your e-mail address and your passport size photo.
LEARNING AGREEMENT
Choose appropriate courses or project offered by the faculty or the department you are going to study at. Have the Agreement signed by your home department and university coordinators and send it together with your Application Form to the foreign department of the host faculty or Mobility Programme Department of BUT.
For more information on the offered courses or projects do not hesitate to contact the teachers responsible for the bilateral agreements between appropriate faculties. Both forms should be available at the international office of your home university. If not you can download them from our website.

Exceptions are possible according to approval of the contact person of each faculty.
VISA
According to the new law all international students coming from EU countries need no visa. Other international students can get information about visa application procedure at Czech embassy or consulate in his home country or can see the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic - http://www.mzv.cz.
HEALTH INSURANCE
To obtain treatment under the provisions of the European regulation, EU students can go to the doctor/dentist/hospital directly with the E111 or European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or it is possible to choose and contact one of the health insurance funds (HIF), where the Certificate of registration will be obtained. Other international students are advised to take out the insurance policy covering hospital care in their home country. If necessary, it can be arranged in the CR with a local insurance company. ISIC - INTERNATIONAL STUDENT IDENTITY CARD
You should obtain your Student Identity Card (ISIC) at yout home university or in your home country. This card will allow you to benefit from student reductions for such things as the public transport pass, most museum and theatre tickets, and many bus, rail and air fares. If for some reason you are not able to do so before coming to the Brno university of Technology, it is possible to apply for the ISIC in Brno at GTS International, Vachova 4, Brno.
