Educational and professional goals: The aim of the consequent master's Civil Engineering study programme with a standard length of study of 1.5 years is for the graduate of this programme to be able to:
  • find employment in the studied field of specialization,
  • further develop the knowledge acquired during the course in a creative way,
  • succeed in competition with graduates from similar higher education institutions not only in the Czech Republic but also in EU countries,
  • be authorised as an accredited engineer in accordance with Act no. 360/1992,
  • possess the required language skills,
  • continue his/her studies in doctoral study programmes,
  • acquire the necessary theoretical, specialised and practical knowledge and skills in the field of civil engineering, these being based on the present state of knowledge, development and research, as well as on the ability of the students in this study programme to apply this knowledge in practice and develop their ability to carry out independent, creative activity. The master's study programme focuses on the acquisition of the necessary theoretical, specialised and practical knowledge and skills in the field of civil engineering, these being based on the present state of knowledge, development and research, as well as on the ability of the students in this study programme to apply this knowledge in practice and develop their ability to carry out independent, creative activity. It is expected that students will be accepted into this study programme immediately after completing a four-year bachelor's programme at one of the civil engineering faculties in the Czech Republic. The best graduates will be allowed to continue their studies in the doctoral study programme.
Access to further studies: The graduates may continue in a doctoral study programme.
