Recognition procedures

Study results are recorded in the Learning Agreement (LA) with changes to original LA. It includes a list of selected courses, the title of the semester, Bachelor or Master project or the student’s research work at a host university.
Completed subjects can be recognized by the dean of the home faculty on the basis of Transcript of Records obtained from the host institution and the Study and Examination Regulations.
Recognition of international study results is recorded in the Proof of Recognition.
Recognition of study is regulated by art 20 of Study end Examination Regulations of BUT.

Allocation of credits

Credits are allocated according to the study workload need to achieve expected learning outcomes in individual courses. The total number of credits for one semester is 30 (60 credits per year).

Primary allocation of credits depends on contributions of individual courses to a week’s study workload of 40 hours covering lectures, exercises, seminars, projects, training, self-study and examinations.
Initial numbers of credits are corrected every year on the basis of the actual study workload of students in individual courses.
Credits are awarded to individual students after completion of the course and the successful assessment of the achieved learning outcomes.
