The objective of the subject is to introduce students to the problems of this course and to practise acquires knowledge and skills.

Course contents (annotation):
Production preparation, project specification, production specification, related standards. Materials for production of steel and metal structures. Tests for verification of characteristic quantities, data sheets, test certificate. Steel corrosion, corrosion protection of steel structures. Fire protection of steel and timber structures. Load test, basic terms, division of load tests, sorts of loading. Production of steel and timber structures, welding of steel structures, connectors of steel and timber structures, transport to building site. Major modes of assembly of steel and timber structures. Assembly problems in static design, assembly loading. Quality requierements for construction of steel and timber structures. Maintenance of steel and timber structures. Restoration, basic terms, division of restorations according reason and life span, restoration preparation. Characteristic examples of restorations, direct and indirect stiffening, characteristic examples.
