The study programmes with the given course

Objective of the course – aims of the course unit:
Construction and technology of exterior and interior embellishment, wall surface finishings, decorative elements, development of fortification buildings, preservation of ruins, painting methods.
Objective of the course – learning outcomes and competences:
Fundamental knowledge about the construction and project design process of building rehabilitation and reconstruction of historical buildings.
Prerequisites:
Constructions of vertical and horizontal building parts. Constructions of roofs and roof trusses. Interior finishing works. History of architecture. Constructional and historical investigation.
Course contents (annotation):
Cultural monuments and every old building need to be renovated in a specific way. It is necessary to acquaint with historical building technology and used means creating their construction, architecture and embellishment. The course content is aimed right at this so that students can familiarise with traditional technologies, construction and craft industry. Last but not least they also learn how to deal with employees of conservation institutes.

9. Historical evolution of castles in this country
