Objective of the course – aims of the course unit:
The objective of the subject is to introduce students to the problems of design of railway stops, goods points and operation control points, especially railway stations and to practise acquires knowledge and skills.
|
Objective of the course – learning outcomes and competences:
A student acquires skills in design of railway stops, goods points and operation control points, especially railway stations.
|
Prerequisites:
Track alignment design parameters and its spatial positions, railway track design.
Railway substructure, subdivision and construction of rail substructure and its construction layers, construction and shape of earth formation
Railway superstructure and modern railway structure design, interaction between railway vehicle and track, switches, crossings and turnouts.
|
Course contents (annotation):
Basic transport regulations, train diagram, train schedule of railway stations. Time diagram of station operation, track occupation diagram, operating efficiency, making up of trains
Operating control points and open track, basic terms. Division of operating control points, division of railway stations according position in railway network
Tracks in railway stations, tracks numeration, symbols of tracks, track length, distances of track centre lines.
Track alignment design parameters in control operation points and other operation points
Railway superstructure, substructure and its drainage in railway stations
