The study programmes with the given course

Objective of the course – aims of the course unit:
Make the one's acquaintance principle of safe layout and safe operation of electrical devices and installation of low voltage as a part of FEEC students' erudition.
Prepare students to examination in accordance to public notice CUBP and CBU No. 50/1978 Sb. about qualification in electrical engineering, to after successful fulfillment of examination acquire qualification "worker for independent activity". This qualification is necessary for independent work on electrical devices and installation.
Objective of the course – learning outcomes and competences:
Qualification for independent work on electric arrangement in light of safe work and safe operation. Knowledge of appropriate law and technical standards.
Fundamental ability to realization of protection against electric shock, protection against overcurrent and short circuit currents, protections against effect of overvoltage and against fire ignition from electric arrangement.
Fundamental orientation in risks evaluation of electrical arrangement.
Knowledge of first aid at electric shock.
Prerequisites:
The subject knowledge on the Bachelor´s degree level is required.
Course contents (annotation):
Subject lets interested person to gain knowledge about fundamentals, legal provision, safety rules and technical standards from areas of safety work in electrical engineering, about safe operation of electrical arrangement and installation of low voltage and prepare students to examination in terms of public notice CUBP and CBU No. 50/1978 Sb. about qualification in electrical engineering. After successful examinations students obtains qualification level "worker for independent activity".
Teaching methods and criteria:
Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
