Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To rich a overview about raw, temperature regime and processing of binding materials, hydration process focusing on knowledge to obtain required mechanical, chemical and next properties

Course contents (annotation):
Hydraulic binding materials – Portland cement, system related with portland cement clinker, composition and petrography of silicate clinker, production of portland cement, processes during firing of portland cement, hydration processes, determination of cement, cement paste and concrete properties , types of cements. Lime. Gypsum. New types of inorganic binding materials. Properties of cement pastes and concret during setting and hardening process.

Credits is granted on the basis of ability to work with thermodynamic databases, phase diagrams.
Examination is focused on testing of ability to applicate of knowledge in stability of materials forecasting.
