  1. Condition-based system for rolling bearings lubrication

In addition to preventive maintenance systems also predictive principles are beginning to implement in lubrication of machine parts. This approach is called condition-based maintenance and lubrication. These systems require knowledge about the limiting states and lubrication conditions. The aim is to study experimentally the dependence between the initial evidence of limiting states of bearings and optimal lubrication parameters.

  8. Experimental chamber for manufacturing of composite metal powders parts.

The aim is to develop a new building chambers for SLM technology experiments. The chamber allows testing of various metal powders based on aluminum. The project has an experimental character. The topic follows the current trend of research and development at foreign universities.

Tutor: Paloušek David, doc. Ing., Ph.D.

  9. Experimental study of lubricant flow through the point contact

Lubricant within the contact is subjected to high contact pressure that influences its viscosity and density. Its behaviour can be also influenced by velocity profile across the film. This study is focused on the visualization of velocity profile and its description using optical tribometer.

Tutor: Hartl Martin, prof. Ing., Ph.D.

  10. Identification of fatigue damage of SLM materials using NDT methods.

The task is to develop and validate methodologies for the identification of structural changes that occur in cyclically loaded parts before the emergence of short fatigue cracks. Attention will be focused on materials developed by SLM (selective laser melting) and the possibility of correlation of damage degree in the signal of acoustic emission. If necessary, other suitable non-destructive testing procedures will be used.

Tutor: Mazal Pavel, doc. Ing., CSc.

  11. Industrial Graphic Design

The project is focused to industrial design, visual communication design specialisation. Theoretical art-historical project about historical links in both graphic and industrial design with an emphasis on the home region and international influences. Important personalities of regional design, design firms and major institutions, and their design, design education, etc. in the chosen period and the locality. Work objective is the treatment of the topic of industrial graphics (in whole, in detail) and its inclusion in the context of the development of design.

Tutor: Rajlich Jan, doc. Ing. arch.

  12. Influence of operating parameters of selective laser melting technology on the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys.

The aim is to identify the influence of process parameters of SLM technology on selected mechanical properties of aluminum alloys. The project has an experimental character. The topic follows the current trend of research and development at foreign universities in the field of rapid prototyping and additive technologies.

  13. Innovation tester of the chassis cars

Recently, in the service practice the EUSAMA chassis testing method fails when testing some cars. The project of new chassis tester will draw on analysis of the fail causes. The virtual model which will simulate the wheel behavior on the tester platform, hardware and software tools will be created during the project. The main goal of the project is a development of testing methodology and the construction of prototype of innovated car suspension tester, which will be able to penetrate the market.

  14. Modern methods of vehicle acoustical diagnostic

The methods of near field acoustic holography are capable of reconstruction of acoustic quantities of examined object in 3D space. The basic principle is measurement of the acoustic pressure in suitable plane. Application of such modern methods in technical diagnostic is main goal of the project. The purpose of the project is verification of capabilities of this expensive and innovative technology which is purchased within NETME+ project.
