Technologies of waste treatment

Waste, legal and economic devices, Informational systems, industrial waste, recent industry waste and municipal waste, technologies of waste disposal, biological utilization of waste, aerobic dumping, thermic methods, disposal of specific and dangerous wastes, radioactive waste treatment, new trends in waste disposal, purer production and technology, principles, strategies and implementation of purer technologies in the Chemical Industry and other Industrial sectors.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Review about rising, reprocessing, recyclation and respectively disposal of wastes. Graduate can take positionor as either foreman, or also operation engineer in some similar plant .

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course uses teaching methods in form of Lecture - 2 teaching hours per week. The e-learning system (LMS Moodle) is available to teachers and students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Written test, respectively additional oral examination, but only at the result from writting test "sufficient", compulsory participation at the excursions (field trips),

Course curriculum

Rising, reprocessing, recyclation and other utilization of wastes
Wastes from industry, power plants, building industry, electrical equipments, households and health
Disposal of wastes: sevage, dumping and combustion
Solidification, stabilization a vitrifcation of wastes
Equipments for sevage, dumping sites and combustion furnaces
Ecological ballasts and environments in the cause of the technology of treatment with wastes
Ecological load and environment in the renge of the technology of the waste treatment
Review of the basec expresions and legislation for the waste treatment

Aims

Orientation in the principles of the acquisition, selection, transportation and further utilization or disposal of waste. Providing students with the basic information on the main producers of waste, orientation in the main types of waste and the possibilities of its disposal. The aim is the preparation of students for the works in the plant with waste treatment

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

written test and maybee oral examination, if the result of writting test is at least "sufficient".
