Course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having worked out assigned tasks. The examination consists of two parts:written and oral.

1. U5: Marketing. The marketing mix.
2. U5: Questions. Persuading. Dealing with objections.
3. U5: Mail shots and sales letters.
4. U6: Self-financing. Funding a start-up.
5. U6: Future Perfect and Future Continuous.
6. U6: Presentations. An executive summary.
7. U7: Financial control. Accountants. Financial documents and regulation.
8. U7: Cause and effect, ability, articles.
9. U7: Communicating in meetings. Minutes.
10.U8: Fair trade or free trade. Contracts and corporate ethics.
11.U8: Obligation and permission, inversion.
12.U8: Negotiating a compromise. Assertive writting.
13.Final test.

Aims

The goal of the subject is to develop all four skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing in English which will enable students to communicate effectively in typical business contexts as well as toenrich business-related vocabulary with particular attention paid to finance.
