Original Title: Evaluation of content of PCB and PBDE in plant bioindicators
Czech Title: Vyhodnocení obsahu PCB a PBDE v rostlinných bioindikátorech
English Title: Evaluation of content of PCB and PBDE in plant bioindicators
Author(s): VONDRÁČKOVÁ, I.; VÁVROVÁ, M.; MRAVCOVÁ, L.; TREMLOVÁ, B.
Type: abstract
Language: en
Original Abstract: Our study particularly focused on PCBs and PBDEs which belong to a group of pollutants that spread easily into the environment by means of remote transport. The levels of PCBs and PBDEs in plant bioindicators (needles of coniferous plants, moss) were determined using gas chromatography combined with an electron capture detector. The main aim of this study was to find out whether the selected bioindicators are suitable to assess the level of environmental contamination with PCBs and PBDEs.
