Original Title: Computation of Mass Concentration Radial Profiles in the Free Plasma Jet
Czech Title: Výpočet radiálního profilu koncentrace ve volném proudu horké plynné směsi
English Title: Computation of Mass Concentration Radial Profiles in the Free Plasma Jet

Type: conference paper

Original Abstract: The distribution of mass fractions of individual species in the working gas mixture is computed and the influence of radial component of velocity and of turbulence on this distribution and on the velocity field in the cross-section of the jet is studied. The calculating process is based on the measured distribution of temperature and axial velocity in the cross-section of the free jet and on the known thermodynamic and transport properties. The laminar component of diffusion coefficient was completed by the component derived from the Prandtl theory of mixing length. The method was applied for the analysis of the data measured on the free jet flowing out from the output of the hybrid water-argon arc heater into air.
